WACO, Texas – Terrell Jones of Langston University (Okla.) claimed the RRAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week award for his performance over the dates of Nov. 7-13. This is the second weekly award of the 2016-17 basketball season.
Jones, who scored the winning basket in the 2016 RRAC Men's Basketball Tournament championship game, posted a double-double in the Lions' 82-59 victory over Southwestern Christian University (Okla.) on Wednesday, Nov. 9.
The senior forward poured in 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds while swiping two steals. He made 7-of-12 shots from the field and 5-of-6 from the free throw line as Langston moved to 3-1 on the season. A native of Memphis, Tenn., Jones is averaging 12.5 points and 10.3 rebounds per game overall.
