LANGSTON - The Langston Lions continued their winning ways by holding off Huston-Tillotson 73-65 on Saturday, Feb. 11 for their fourth straight victory. The four-game winning streak is the longest of the season currently.

Huston-Tillotson came out strong out in the first half as they built a 40-27 halftime advantage. The Lions remained undeterred and struck back by outscoring the Rams 46-25 in the second half en route to a 73-65 victory.
The victory puts Langston at 16-8 overall and 9-6 in the Red River Athletic Conference; the Lions remain in a tie for fourth-place in the RRAC with Wiley College at nine conference wins overall.
In addition to Wiley College, Langston trails LSU-Shreveport and Our Lady of the Lake by only one game in the win column for the RRAC tournament seeds.

For the game the Lions knocked down 44 percent (25-of-56) from the field and converted nine-of-19 three-pointers and combined to hit 14-of-18 free throw attempts.
Michael Harris led the Lions attack with 18 points; Curtis Jones added 14, Daryle Morgan, Jr. chipped in 12 along with Renard Green and Terrell Jones both adding 11 points each.
Langston (16-8, 9-6 RRAC) hosts Jarvis Christian on Thursday, Feb. 16. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
