JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Langston University football team begins their 2016 campaign today with a non-conference showdown with NCAA DII foe Lincoln University at 2 p.m. CST. Here's a quick rundown of information for Lions fans to answer the most frequently asked questions.
Q: What time is kickoff?
Kickoff for the season opener is 2 p.m. CST. The game will be held at Dwight T. Reed Stadium in Jefferson City, Mo. Tickets are $10 at the gate and all kids enter free.
Q: I will not be able to attend the game, how can I stay updated on the game?

About The Game
The Lions and Blue Tigers square off for the 63rd time on the gridiron with Langston holding an all-time 39-21-2 advantage. Lincoln won the last meeting, 35-32, in Langston, Okla. last season. Langston is led by first-year head coach Quinton Morgan, the LU alumni was named head coach on Dec. 2, 2015.
Offensively, the Lions return quarterback Mark Wright, Jr. who finished last season with 1,517 passing yards, 12 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. On the defense side Langston is led by Evan Scott (65 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 INT), Ray Douglas (59 tackles, 2 INTs) and De'Amonte Miles (53 tackles).
