WACO, Texas – Terrell Jones of Langston University (Okla.) captured the RRAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award for his productivity over the dates of Jan. 4-10. This is the eighth weekly award of the 2015-16 basketball season.
Jones delivered a pair of double-double outings as the Lions won two more RRAC games to remain unbeaten in conference play. The junior forward posted 13 points and 12 rebounds en route to a 104-81 trouncing of Huston-Tillotson University (Texas) on Thursday. He tacked on 17 points and 10 boards two nights later as Langston won, 74-63, over Our Lady of the Lake University (Texas).
For the week, Jones sank 12-of-19 field goal attempts (63.2%) while going 3-for-5 on three pointers. Jones is sixth in the RRAC with 6.6 rebounds per game. The 21st-ranked Lions are now 6-0 atop the conference standings with a record of 10-3 on the season.
